Micro Monsters 3D

Shrink down in size and view life from the perceptive of the real rulers of our planet – the bugs. Using specially-crafted macroscopic filming techniques, experience the weird and wonderful world of the arthropods as never before.

SYNOPSIS

In this revolutionary new series, David Attenborough reveals the marvellous adaptability of the most successful group of animals on the planet – the arthropods. Bugs fill the screen in huge magnification due to pioneering macroscopic filming techniques, allowing the viewer to see the fascinating behaviour of insects, scorpions and spiders.

The series features the key species which demonstrate the most amazing traits in telling the story of the prehistoric development of arthropods, how they turned carnivore and began to develop weaponry, and the social bugs like bees, ants and termites. From armies of killer ants to spiders weaving silken trap doors, ferocious scorpions with paralysing stings and beetles shooting boiling chemicals at their enemies, bees communicating with a waggle dance and assassin bugs that clothe themselves in their victims’ corpses; viewers will go deep into the incredible world of bugs.
